GENESEO: FIRST & LAST KNIGHT

PRINT | BRANDING

I worked with Campus Scheduling and Events department at SUNY Geneseo to help create a brand and experience for two events: First Knight, a celebration for first year freshmen that occurs on their first night on campus, and Last Knight, a celebration for graduating seniors that occurs on their last night on campus. I designed the First Knight materials 4 years ago, and the Last Knight materials were designed in spring of 2016. The Last Knight materials were based loosely on the First Knight materials but treated with a more mature and sophisticated approach.

MAMMOTH: A PLAY

ART DIRECTION | PRINT

A friend and fellow Geneseo graduate of mine, the brilliant and talented playwright Kate Royal, approached me to help her establish a look and design print materials for her play entitled "Mammoth". Mammoth is a dark and punchy family drama that takes place in the span of one weekend when three siblings return to their childhood home to sort through belongings after their parents have passed. Throughout the play, Kate expertly folds dramatic reveals into the dialogue, exposing the splintered and shattered nature of the three siblings' relationships. After reading the script to the play, I proposed this look: dark, brooding, grungy blue/night sky tones with a shattered, bright white mammoth tusk to create high contrast and punchy, bold and minimal typography.

CHRISTOPHER ROBIN'S PET CARE

REBRANDING | PRINT | WEB

Christopher Robin's Pet Care is a state-of-the-art dog boarding and day care center in Avon, NY. They came to me looking to refresh and revitalize their brand and website. They wanted to keep the same general concept for the logo but just refresh and renew its style. We also worked together to develop a new website, based on a Squarespace template, to bring new features and options to their day to day business. Finally, we created staff t-shirts inspired by the silhouettes of some of their regular dog customers - a German Shepard, English Bulldog, Welsh Terrier, Golden Retriever, and a Pit Bull.
